How I use Twitter

Firstly thank you for clicking through to this blog post probably from my Twitter home page. I wanted to let you know what you can expect to receive from me by joining me on Twitter, and what I would expect from you. It is fair to say though that we each use Twitter how we want, so I wanted to highlight how I use Twitter.

What will you get from me…

I tweet a fair amount, and break it down into 3 categories. Social chit chat, sharing of great information, and demonstrating my expertise and knowledge. So during the course of a day, you may well a good balance of the above. I am a huge fan of engagement, so regularly ask questions, and invite people to message me. I always do my best to repond to all messages to me.

My tweets I think are funny, interesting, odd, unusual, informative, helpful, inspiring, and crazy. I try to retweet other information that I find, but always check  out the links first, and when I can add a personal validation to tell you that I have taken the time to check it out first, Oh and I am dead against all forms of automation and outsourcing my account. It really is me responding and tweeting all the time.

Every now and then, I may well recommend a service or product. This is usually something where I am involved, or that I personally use or feel that it would be of great value or benefit to others. I blog a fair amount, so a fair few of my tweets contain links to articles that I have written or come across that I think are of value to others.

And finally, I dont auto follow anyone back. If you want me to follow you, then simply start talking to me, be interesting,  don’t try and sell me something, and have a committed twitter profile.

So.. Why not drop me a tweet?
