If you are not doing any of the above things on Twitter, then I would suggest that you are not utilising Twitter to its full capacity.. The real benefits of Twitter start to emerge as you start to listen, reply, engage, communicate and start to build relationships with others. If all you are doing is broadcasting all day long, sadly, no one will be really listening or taking any notice of you, as many are doing as you are doing. Too many people want all the benefits of Twitter but without any effort on their part. Nothing was ever achieved without some form of effort.

This is a fab post. just what is needed to get a grasp of how to tweet for business effectively. I’m already doing some of these so a great blog for reassurance, and I’ve got some new ideas. thanks Mark.
Handy checklist! Thanks Mark
Fantastic blog post Mark, very useful checklist for all Tweeters! Have posted to Linc Up Live Facebook Page, had a conference a couple of weeks ago in Lincoln absolutely fantastic, another one scheduled in February 2012, going to recommend you as a Speaker!
Thanks Mark. I had a feeling I didn’t know everything!
Great list – I’m delighted to read that I’m doing most of them (phew!) but even more pleased to get a few others to add to my list of things I should be doing. Thanks Mark!
Great a good reminder and a good argument for when people say they don’t understand Twitter. It is worth investing the time
